AFTER:
Our clients raised their family in this home,
and after 20 years of ownership and lots of living,
they wanted a fresh space--
as empty-nesters, for entertaining, and
tough enough to handle the next phase: grandkids!
LET'S TAKE THE TOUR!
Vintage appliances (those turquoise ovens!!)
and original cabinets were just plain worn out.
Don't worry; they found a new home
in someone's Airbnb bunkhouse!
Demo-ing a space this old meant going all the way
down to the studs! Because-- all new electrical and plumbing.
That's a lot of dumpster space!
AFTER:
SOME OF OUR FAVORITE DETAILS:
It was important to our clients that the space
flowed, which required opening up this wall:

(Living room side):
So we installed a supporting beam:
(Ruger made sure we did it right!)
AFTER:
That fireplace stone is original to the house,
but was an unfortunate pink tone.
It was a bold decision to paint it all, but
we found the perfect gunmetal gray
to accentuate the space!
